'62 reissue Fender Strat -- Best Price; Great Review

Occasionally, a classic instrument is identified as a classic pretty much right from the get go. It earns that distinction by arriving just in time to play an integral part in a musical revolution. There are very few instrument lines that can lay claim to being identified in this way. One might be Bonham's Ludwig Vistalite drums that became instantly attached to the advent of stadium rock. No instrument, however, has been a definitive classic quite the way the Fender Stratocaster has.

One strat model in particular has an undying charm and appeal. The '62 reissue Fender stratocaster, dressed in that token tobacco burst finish, is a timeless classic. Today's reissue guitar updates the '57 Stat with a fresh look and a faster action. Not to fret, - pun intended - it retains all the features of the '57 but with a few player-friendly upgrades. The alder body, maple neck and vintage pickups are paired with a new rosewood fretboard and a slimmer and quicker neck. The rosewood fretboard doesn't change that established charm the '62 reissue strat has, but it does offer one particular benefit. It will "wear" better over time and mean a sweeter play even as it adds mileage.

The slimmed neck added to the original design blueprint is a little quicker and easier to work across. It's the same neck shape that allowed the surf-era rockers to get experimental with the instrument. This was during the years before Eric Clapton and others made the '62 Strat instantly recognizable. This '62 reissue Fender comes equipped with the original tremolo with vintage ashtray bridge cover and authentic 3-way switching. A retrofit assembly for 5-way switching is included and can be installed should you wish.

If you're going to play such a sweet retro-chic axe you've got to carry it in equal style. The '62 reissue Fender Strat comes with a vintage tweed hardshell case, "worn" look strap and patch cord.

Pair this classic 6-string strat with an amp worthy of it and you're going to be the coolest dude on stage. The '62 strat is just that stylish, and it always will be.
